Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2017 Mazda CX-9- Video

Today on our 2017 Mazda CX9, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt Upgraded Circuit Protected Taillight with Converter Hardware Kit, part number 56146KIT. So here's what our wiring looks like fully installed. I do want to mention the bracket here is not included in our wiring kit. Our wiring is gonna give us a full pull flat and provide us all the necessary lights to get down the road safely and legally, such as our stop lights, taillights, and turn signals. Our wiring is a universal kit, so it is gonna fit several different vehicles. And there is gonna be some splicing and some cutting of wires that are gonna be involved. Our wiring is gonna stay on the outside of the vehicle at all times, and it is gonna live right here. And now that we see the end result, let's go and show you how we got it installed. To begin our installation, we're gonna open up our rear hatch so that we can gain access to our taillights. more

Hopkins Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2011 Ford Edge- Video

Today on our 2011 Ford Edge, we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Hopkins Endurance Quick Install Trailer Connector Adaptor. This turns your 4 way flat into a 7 pole. Part number is HM47200. Here's what our 7 pole plug's going to look like installed. Not only does this give us all of our turns, our brake signals, things like that, but this will also provide you, if you hook it up, with a reverse light signal for marine applications, for brake controller signal if you run a wire into the cab of the vehicle, and then also your 12 volt power, which is what our customer requested. It's going to give power to anything on your trailer. With this being the Endurance series, it has a couple of really nice features to it. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2016 Mazda CX-9- Video

Today on this 2016 Mazda CX9, we're going to review and install the Curt upgraded circuit protected taillight with converter hardwire kit, part number 56146KIT. This is what it looks like once it's installed in the CX9. You can see we got plenty of extra length here, maybe about a foot to work with and we got our cap here holding it in place. Of course when you're ready to plug into your trailer, just go ahead and take the cap off, don't worry about going anywhere and plug right into your standard four pole. Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2017 BMW X1- Video

Today on our 2017 BMW X1 we'll be having a look at and installing the Tekonsha Upgraded Heavy Duty Module Light Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness with Install Kit, part number 119190KIT. Here's what our wiring looks like installed. As you can see, we have an adequate length wire harness to get close to where our hitch is. It's even longer, we could actually have it attached to our hitch as well if we wanted to. This wiring harness gives us our basic functions that we need in order to safely and legally tow a trailer. Today on our 1999 Magnum Safari Sahara Edition we're going to take a look at and also show you how to install the Hopkins Adapter to convert a four pole to a working seven pole and four pole. Part number is 37185. Now here's what our plug's going to look like installed. As you can see, we've got our seven pole round plug and our four pole flat plug there. It's really going to help to reduce the need for adapters if we're going from trailer to trailer. Pollak 6-Pole Trailer Wiring Socket Installation - 2015 Jeep Wrangler- Video

Today on our 2015 Jeep Wrangler we'll be having a look at and installing the Pollak 6-Pole Round Pin Trailer Wiring Socket, part number PK11609. All right, here's what our Pollak six-way round connector looks like installed on the front of our Jeep. This six-way round has a nice dust cover here that's spring loaded, which will hold in our six-way round connector and also keep dirt and debris from entering our connection. This will give us the ability to run a tow vehicle lighting system on our Jeep, run a charge line if we need to, or have other functions on one of the other six connectors. The six-pole round connector has six terminals inside. You'll have one for your taillights, one each for both turn signals, so that takes care of three. You have your ground, that's the fourth one. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Adapter Installation - 2011 Ford Van- Video

Today, on our 2011 Ford Van, we're going to be taking a look at the tow-ready four pole to seven pole vehicle end adapter, part number 30717. This is what our adapter looks like fully installed, and as you can see it has a nice cover to keep any dirt and debris or moisture out of the plug. As you can see, back here we have our four pole. We have a white ground wire, and then we have three separate wires that have butt connectors on them. On our application, we're not going to be using them, but the blue wire typically goes to your brake controller, the black wire is going to go to a 12-volt power supply, and the yellow wire typically goes into your reverse light socket. Now, to finish up our installation, to get everything all nice and tucked away, we're going to be using this long no-drill bracket, and you can pick one up using part number 18136, as well as this mounting bracket for a seven-way style plug, and this works with the universal mounting as well as the OEM style, and you can pick one up using part number TM76474. Now, the bracket is going to come with all the mounting hardware. Your seven-way is going to sit in here, and as you can see the oblong holes give you enough room so that they're securely mounted. more

Tekonsha 4-Pole Vehicle End Installation - 2011 Ford Van- Video

Today on our 2011 Ford van, we're going to be taking a look at the Tekonsha Vehicle End 4-pole Connector, part number 118001. Now this is what the kit is going to consist of. You're going to have a 4-pole flat vehicle end, and the cable is 48" long, as well as you're going to get four wire taps. But on our installation, we're going to be replacing them with heat shrink butt connectors, and you can pick those up using part number DW05744-5. Here's going to be our vehicle end of the 4-pole. Now, like a lot of applications, after time, rust and corrosion will start to build up, and it's not going to make a good connection, so we're going to go and install our new kit. Let's go ahead and show you how we get it installed. more

Hopkins Endurance 7 Way Trailer Connector Socket Installation - 2003 Gulf Stream Cruiser- Video

Today on our 2003 Gulf Stream Scenic Cruiser we will be installing the Hopkins Endurance Seven-Way Trailer Connector Socket. Part number HM48480. It's a nice heavy duty construction here. We have a really substantial hinge which allows our door to open more than 180 degrees, giving us clean access to our terminals to make it easy to plug into. Now in the back side of our door, on the inside, you'll see this nice foam seal. This will help keep the elements out of our connector on the inside, preventing corrosion, contamination, or making it difficult to insert our plug from our trailer into. more

Today on our 2010 Ford Explorer, we're going to take a look at and also show you how to install the Hopkins Wiring Adapter for converting a four pole flat into a working seven pole and four pole. Part number is 37185. Here's what our wiring kit is going to look like when we pole it out of the package. This is a really excellent way to adapt the plug on the back of your vehicle from being just a single type, either the seven pole or four pole than having to use adapters. As you can see we've got our four pole here. It's going to fit your common four pole flat trailer connector with ground, running lights, left turn and brake signal and right turn and brake signal. For our seven pole side, this is going to give us the additional functions of twelve volt power if we hook it up, our brake controller wire if we hook it up and also a reverse signal if we hook that up. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2015 BMW X3- Video

Today in our 2015 BMW X3, we'll be installing a Tekonsha upgraded heavy duty ModuLite circuit protected vehicle wiring harness with install kit, part number 119190KIT. Now when we want to use our trailer wiring, you just pull back on this cover here, grab our wire, pop our panel back in place, hook it onto the hitch right down here so it has something to hold it in place when we close our hatch. Now you can see we have easy to access wiring here, which easily hook up to our trailer. This will give us the required by law lighting functions that we need in order to safely tow a trailer. We'll have our turn signals, our brake lights, and our running lights. When we're unhooked from our trailer, we can just stow the wiring back in a compartment as simple as we pulled it out. Now one nice feature about this wiring harness, has a built in dust cover here to help protect our four pole flat from any dirt, debris, or the elements. Just slide that over the connector and it'll keep it protected. All right, we'll begin our installation first by removing our floor cover here. Okay, we'll remove these clips right here by twisting 90 degrees. more

Today on a 2014 Ford E350 van we're going to review and install the Draw-Tite 4-pole 72-inch Long Vehicle End wire harness, part number 18172. This is what a wire harness looks like when it's installed in a typical application: simple 4-pole flap right here that will work with any small trailer that's out there. This also provides a great base if you want to upgrade this from a 4-pole off to a 6 or 7-pole connector when you use a bigger trailer that requires extra circuits. Let's go ahead and take a quick look at it. Very simple. This is an industry standard 4-pole flap. This is our wires here, 18 gauge material. more

Hopkins Endurance Quick-Install 7-Way Trailer Connector Installation - 2014 Ford F-53- Video

Today on this 2014 Ford F53 chassis we're going to review and install a Hopkins Endurance Quick-install 7-Way Trailer Connector, part number HM40940. To help us with that install we're also going to need part number HM40985, also from Hopkins. Let's go ahead and take a look at the parts that come with the Endurance Connector. Not too much, it's going to be really just the connector itself, also comes with a packet of grease to protect these connections inside here, and maybe if you've got some little bit left over inside of here. While it's easy to see right now, there's a little rubber gasket in here to help seal it up when it's closed and not being used. Has a pretty good finger hold to pull it off and out of the way to access it. This is the wiring kit also from Hopkins. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Adapter Installation - 2012 Jeep Patriot- Video

Today on this 2012 Jeep Patriot, we're going to review and install the Adapter 4-Pole to 7-Pole and 4-Pole Connector, part number 37185 from Hopkins. This is what our connector looks like when it's installed on our Patriot. It has it's own bracket built in, and 7-Pole connector right here. This lid is actually sealed underneath to help protect it from moisture and the elements from it being outside. It has a nice, strong rubber cap to protect the 4-Pole connector as well. If we look in the back here where the wires go into the socket, it's all sealed up so no water at all can get inside there, or corrosion. With this connector, you can use it with a variety of different trailers. more

Today, in our 2016 Audi Q5, we'll be installing the Tow Ready upgraded heavy duty modulite circuit protected vehicle wiring harness with install kit. Part number 119190KIT. Here's what are kit consists of. We have our modulite module itself. This will isolate our trailer wiring for motor vehicle wiring by just getting over signal from the vehicle wire it will draw direct power from the battery using these ring terminals that we can attach to the battery terminal, using this fuse holder here. We have this bundle of water that we'll make our connection from the battery to the fuse to our module. Our module gets the signal from the vehicle but takes power directly from battery, so we don't put any strain on the vehicle's electrical system. more

Today in our 2016 GMC Sierra 2500 HD, we will be installing the Pollack Replacement 7-pole RV-stack trailer socket, part number PK11893. To ease the installation, we will be using the Pollack 4 foot pigtail wiring harness for 7-pole RV sockets, part number PK11998. Here's what our 7-way socket looks like. We have industry standard connector here, 4 screw locations to secure it, nice door here to help hold our wire connector in, and keep the elements out of our connection. Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2015 Ford Explorer- Video

Today in our 2015 Ford Explorer, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Curt Adapter from 4 Pole to 7 Pole and a 4 Pole with Test Lamps, part number C57674. You won't have to use any adapters to go from 7-way to a 4 flat-plug because you have a separate 4 flat to the side. One of the really nice features about this is that it has a built-in test circuit that's going to light up as you go through your features. If your trailer is plugged in and you have a bad circuit or a bad bulb, it's not going to light up that circuit, letting you know you need to check your wiring on your trailer. It's got a nice big plastic cover with a metal bar for hinge, a weather-tight seal. It's going to go around and help seal up your connections and keep moisture and dirt out. It also has a nice weather-tight seal for our 4-flat side. This is what your kit is going to consist of. This is our 7-pole connector and the four-pole flat. more

Hopkins Endurance RV Trailer Connector Installation - 2013 Tiffin Phaeton- Video

Today on this 2013 Tiffin Phaeton Motorhome, we're going to review and install the Hopkins Endurance Multi-Tow 7-Way RV and 4-Flat Trailer Connector, part number HM40950. Also, to help us with our install, we'll be using the Pollak Dodge and Chrysler OEM Plug Adapter, part number PK11933. This is what the Hopkins Endurance Connector looks like when it's installed on our motorhome. First off, it has an all black plastic construction. We'll take a look at the lid, which is kind of nice because a lot of them will open up to here and stop, this one goes all the way towards the back, a little bit past it at 180 degrees. Spring loaded, and it also has a seal on here to help protect it when it's not being used. It also has neat little finger-holes right here to help move it up. more

How the modulite works is that it takes a signals from the vehicle, copies them with inside the box and then takes those signals using battery power and sends it out to your trailer. Trailer Wiring Harness Adapter Installation - 2009 Ford Van- Video

Today on our 2009 Ford E-350 Econoline van, we will be taking a look at and installing the Hopkins 4-pole adapter for 7-pole and 4-pole connection, Part Number 37185. Now we will go ahead and test out our wiring. To do so, we will remove the cover on the 4-pole. Since the 4-pole and the 7-pole are running on the same circuit, we will connect our ground to the ground, and then we will test out our wires. I am going to go ahead and test out our running wire first, which is going to be our brown wire or bottom circuit. Now we are going to go ahead and test out our turn signal, which is going to be that yellow wire or middle circuit, and our right turn signal, which is going to be that green wire. Now let's go ahead and test out our brake lights, which should give us a solid on both those top two. more

Hopkins Endurance 7-Way Trailer Wiring Installation - 2015 GMC Sierra 3500- Video

Today our 2015 GMC Sierra 3500, we'll be taking a look at and installing the Hopkins Endurance Quick Install 7-way Trailer Connector, part number HM47210. If your vehicle is equipped with the fifth-wheel towing package, it will probably have a pigtail that looks similar to this. This is a factory pigtail, and we're going to be using our universal pigtail to hook up to it. We aren't going to have a long enough ground to connect that to the frame, so we'll go ahead and connect that to the ground that's provided in the factory hookup. We'll go ahead and trim off the ground to the same length as the other wires and then we'll strip back our wires. The first 2 wires we're going to strip back is going to be that ground and the power. We'll first hook up the ground wire and then we'll hook up the power wire, that way we don't have to worry about disconnecting the battery. We will not go ahead and splice our wires together with the assistance of the DECA heat-shrink butt connectors, part number DW05745-10. more

We also have our Modulite wiring kit to run power to our module and the part number for that is 118151. I just installed the hitch so I have some of the stuff out of the trunk already. You want to take our your spare tire, your jack kit and your floor mats, I have those out already so I'm just going to take out threshold piece here, I've got my removing tool. It just pops up and out of the way. Down on the bottom, on the inside, when you pop the top off you want to pull up on these and it'll pull right out. more

Today in our 2012 Chevrolet Express Van, we're going to show you how to install the Hopkins Adapter to turn the 4-Pole to both the 7-Pole and the 4-Pole. Part number is 37185. Here's what our adapter is going to look like. Here you can see the 7-Pole side and the additional 4-Pole side here on the outside. We're going to have all the screws we need and the bracket that's going to go around the backside that we can mount to a tab or a surface maybe if there was one sticking off for the hitch. As you can see this one, we don't want to drill into the hitch itself and ruin some of the integrity of it. What we're going to use is part number 18136. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2012 Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class- Video

Today on our 2012 Mercedes Benz GLK we will be reviewing and installing the Tow Ready Heavy Duty Modulite Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness part number 119190KIT. Now, with our tow ready modulite heavy duty circuit breaker and wiring harness all out of the packaging you can see now that you're going to have your quick connects, your ground harness assembly there, and a fuse, some double sided tape to go ahead and stick on your circuit breaker, you'll have a test light. Then on the other side here we're going to have our power wire that's going to run to the battery of the vehicle with our fuse assembly and then your connectors to attach that to the battery and then a fuse to go in afterwards. On the back side here we'll go ahead and separate these wires so we can see what we're doing. Now we'll go ahead and remove the side panels here on the side of the vehicle by rotating the knob, pulling out, and lifting up. We'll set these over to the front so we can expose the manufactures wiring harness. We'll repeat that on the passenger side as well. Now we'll go ahead and take our included tool, which is going to be our light tester, hook up the ground to a ground spot on the inside. more

RoadMaster 6 Wire Trailer Connector Installation - 2015 Cadillac SRX- Video

Today on our 2015 Cadillac SRX, we're going to review and install the Road Master 6 Wire 6 Round Trailer Pin Connector, Part #RM-910030-7. Here's what our 6 round connector is going to look like when it's installed. You open up the flapper, or door, on the front of our 6 round connector, we can see the 6 pins inside. These pins will allow us to send a signal from the tow vehicle here to the towed vehicle for our running turn and brake signal circuits. We could also add a supplemental braking system or other functions to maximize the potential of all 6 pins. One of the really nice features about the door here on this particular style is it's spring loaded, so when it's not in use, it'll hold it closed, keep out any dirt, dust, and debris. Now to begin our install, we need to remove the 4 flat connector that's been previously installed. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Adapter Installation - 2013 Toyota Tundra- Video

Today on our 2013 Toyota Tundra, we're going to review and install the Hopkins Adapter for 4-pole to 7- and 4-pole Trailer Connector, part number 37185. Here's what our trailer adapter is going to look like once installed. We took the vehicle from a standard 4-flat trailer connector and now have a 4-flat trailer connector along with the 7-blade style trailer connection point. Not all of our blades are hooked up, specifically the 12-volt battery source or the brake controller. However, the remaining 5 leads are hooked and are ready for use. Now, having both the 4-flat and the 7-blade connector, we can expand on our hook up options, and we can hook up to just about any trailering connection out there. Our customers like how well-built it is and easy to install. Now, let's go ahead and show you how to install it. To begin our install, we're going to remove the manufacturer's 4-flat trailer connector and bracket. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2014 Hyundai Tucson- Video

Today on our 2014 Hyundai Tucson, we're going to review and install the Curt wiring kit with 4 pole trailer connector. Part number 56146KIT. To begin our install, we're first going to go ahead and remove the rear tail lights. To remove the rear tail lights, we'll open up the hatch, and remove the two screw fasteners on each side that secure it. Once we have the two screws out, we'll go ahead and push the tail light assembly to the rear of the vehicle, popping it free from it's fasteners underneath. We'll pull the tail light assembly out. We can see the alignment pins underneath, we want to be careful not to break as we're removing it. Next, we're going to go ahead and remove the electrical connector from the back of the tail light assembly. To do that, we'll press on the locking tab, and separate the two. more

Curt Trailer Connector Installation - 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video

Today on our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee we're going to review and install the CURT Trailer Connector, seven blade, four-flat, with back-up alarm, part number C57101. Here's what our CURT trailer connector looks like once it's installed. We have our four-flat, trailer connector here that has the running, turn, and brake signal circuits. The standard four-flat fits many applications. In the center, we've got our seven blade trailer connector, provides our standard trailer functions along with a 12-volt power source, trailer brake controller, or even reverse trailer lighting. Then here we have our back-up alarm and LED lights. When the vehicle is in reverse, the LED lights will flash and the back-up alarm will come on. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Adapter Installation - 2001 Dodge Ram Pickup- Video

Today on our 2001 Dodge Ram pickup we're going to review and install the Hopkins adapter wiring converter from 4-pole to 7-pole round with 4-pole flat, part number 37185. Now here's what our Hopkins wiring adapter is going to look like once it's installed. The wiring adapter will take the 4-pole flat trailer connector wiring and turn it into a 7-blade connector. Not only can we use a 7-blade connector with this application, but also our standard 4-flat trailer connector. Now let's go ahead and show you how to install it. To begin our install we're going to attach the mounting bracket to the bottom of the bumper for our new 7-pole connector. Using the pre-drilled holes in the bracket and a couple self-tapping screws, we can secure it directly here to the bottom of the steel bumper. more

Tow Ready 4 Pole to 5 Pole Trailer Wiring Adapter Installation - 2015 Toyota Highlander- Video

Today in our 2015 Toyota Highlander we're going to be showing you how to install the Tow Ready 4 Pole to 5 Pole Trailer Wiring Adapter, Part Number is 20036. Now our installation's going to begin by attaching our blue wire that's going to come with the kit to the reverse light wire, so that the wire that becomes hot or turns on are reverse lights. Now they're in the door in the hatch of the Highlander here, so we're going to go in to one of the wire looms located inside. We're going to go to the one that's on the left side here, and we'll just pull the boot up of the bracket that's holding it down. What we're going to do is just slide that loom up, get it out of the way now where we can get into our bunch of wires here. The wire that we're looking for is going to be a red wire. The good news is that there's only 5 of them. We only have to test 5 wires to figure out which one's going to be which, it should be this thicker one here but we'll see in a minute. more

Hopkins Trailer Wiring Adapter Installation - 2007 Nissan Murano- Video

Today in our 2007 Nissan Murano, we'll be installing the Hopkins adapter, four pole to five pole trailer wired adapter, part number 47515. Our vehicle already has a four pole installed on it, so we'll start there. What this does is it makes your four pole, that comes on your vehicle, into a five pole. To start out, we'll just go ahead and plug these two together. These are removable if you don't want to keep them constantly connected. And you see you just unplug this quick connector here that holds the reverse light wire together. For this application, since they will be pulling a boat with this vehicle, we're just going to go ahead and keep these together, and if you want to, you can just go ahead and un-tape them and separate them. I'm just going to go ahead and stop right now, here at our quick connector, and we can go ahead and tape the rest of it up once we make our connection. Now with this application, we are going to have to probably extend our blue wire. Since you can see the four pole that comes in our vehicle is pretty long, so we'll just extend it here underneath our paneling and run it to our reverse light circuit on our vehicle. Next we need to go a head a remove some of these panels back here so we can get to the wiring. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2008 Volvo S60- Video

Today on our 2008 Volvo S60, we're going to show you how to install the Tow Ready Upgraded Circuit ModuLite with the 4-Pole Harness and Hardwire kit, part number is 119179KIT. Now to begin our installation, we're going to need to get into our trunk area here. Our green wire is going to run over to the passenger side of the vehicle and that's going to be connected to our passenger side to our right side blinker wire. The red wire that you can see here, this gets connected to either a ground, or in this particular application with the S60, this is going to go to our stop light or our brake light wire. The yellow wire goes to our left turn signal. The brown wire to our running lights. It's a really easy system to set there. You get a ground wire here. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2006 Ford Van- Video

Today, on our 2006 Ford van, we'll be installing the Hopkins wiring harness, with four pole flat trailer connector. Part number HM48035. Now, our van is equipped with factory wiring, where you could plug in a plug that has a four pole on it, but it's only available through Ford. Instead of doing that, we're going to go ahead, cut the end of that connector off, and hard wire our four pole flat trailer connector. Since we're going into the factory wiring harness, it will be protected by the factory fuses. Not that you're underneath our van, we'll go just in front of our spare tire, up here on the frame rail. You see there will be four wires here and a plug that's just going in to a holder here on the frame. Pull and unplug that, and that'll be our four pole wiring. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2008 BMW X5- Video

Today our 2008 BMW X-5 we'll be installing the heavy duty Modulite circuit protected vehicle wiring harness with instillation kit. Part number 119190KIT. To start our install, go to the back hatch and open that up. You want to lower both sections of it so we get access to our panels on the inside we need to remove. We'll go ahead and grab our bottom panel here. Just lift up on the handle, pull up and you can set that out of the way, as we will need access. Underneath here, to our battery located at the rear of the vehicle. Next we'll need to remove these side panels on each side to get access to our tail light wiring. more

Hopkins Trailer Wiring Adapter Installation - 2014 GMC Acadia- Video

Today on our 2014 GMC Acadia, we're going to be installing the Hopkins 4-pole to 5-pole trailer wiring adapter. This is the short version. The part number is 47515. The 4-pole to 5-pole adapter is going to be a perfect solution for converting your current 4-pole trailer plug-in to work with the 5-pole surge brake style connector. Basically, we just plug in this to our standard 4-pole, and we're going to run our blue wire up, and we're going to tie it in to the reverse light. Now as you can see here, there is a quick disconnect. If need be, if you're going to go back to at standard 4-pole trailer, we can simply pull this off and our wiring will be there for when we need to use it the next time. Then, we can just plug it right back in, and we'll be ready to go after hooking it into our 4-pole. It comes with about that much wire. more

RoadMaster 6 Wire Trailer Connector Installation - 2013 Chevrolet Captiva Sport- Video

Today on our 2013 Chevrolet Captiva Sport we're going to install the Roadmaster six-wire trailer connector vehicle end, part number RM-910030-7, in conjunction with the Hopkins mounting bracket, part number HM48605. Now on this application the vehicle has a four-flat connector already previously run for the towed vehicle. We're going to go ahead and cut the zip tie that's holding it so that we can mount the new Roadmaster six-round pin connector. To secure the connector to the vehicle we're going to use the Hopkins six-round bracket. Now to mount our bracket we're going to attach it here directly to the fascia. I'm just going to use some self-tapping screws and I can run them in and secure the bracket in place. So our bracket's a little more aesthetically pleasing we're going to go ahead and bend it down so it sits a little more flush with the front of the vehicle. more

Hopkins Tailight Converter Kit Installation - 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video

Today on this 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're going to install part number 46255. This is a Hopkins Active Taillight Converter with install kit. Our first step is to go ahead and open up the back hatch and go ahead and remove the taillights. One, two, three bolts removed used a 10 mm socket. Now you take our light loose by rocking it back and forth, pulling back. We'll go ahead and set this aside for now, then we'll go ahead and repeat the same process over on the passenger's side. more
